Quick Checks Before You Call

Safe first checks — food safety matters, so don't leave it long.

• Fridge warm but freezer cold? Usually the evaporator fan or frost build-up blocking airflow between the compartments. Check you can hear the fan running and the internal vents aren't iced over or blocked by food.

• Everything warm? Check the temperature dial hasn't been knocked, the door seals (test by shutting it on a sheet of paper), and that the condenser coils at the back/bottom aren't caked in dust.
